A Brief History of the Gilden Kindred:
More often than not pagans find that we are alone in our studies and our spiritual growth. We struggle with structure, and at times crave community. I struggled personally with knowing which ways to turn. I rejected the cult-like and totalitarian lives that Abrahamic faiths forced on the peoples under their rule- and so I escaped the cult of my youth, and consumed spiritual and religious texts with a voracious appetite. I wanted to know. I wanted to understand. I searched for the thing that ached in my chest and whispered that I did not belong.
I was sure there must be more people out there like me. Decades of research, decades of struggling with different groups, and decades of fighting my own personal demons. I created this group, reached out to people I could trust, who knew not only what it was to be alone but also what it was to be betrayed or abused even by non-traditional groups. I hope together we can grow, and create a space we can all thrive and be ourselves in- eventually I hope we will make a positive impact on our community.
